Here I sit watching TV as the hour ticks down to New Year. In Edinburgh it is now 18:15 and I will be going out at 11:30 to see the new year in at the newly fixed Police Station clock. I hope to see some people come to watch but I may have a lonely vigil.

Another three days holiday before I must take up the cleaning rags again ....
